We have a small farewell party for Jenny who will be spending the next year in the land of the Rising Sun.

We stand in line for a few hours for a chance to see Kaba Modern. This is the reason that I hate fairs and carnivals.

We have a camp at Swanzy Beach Park and we discover "How Big Our God" really is!

We observe Passover with a beautiful meal prepared by Chad and Malia.

After no luck with Box Car Racing, we head out to Kapolei with some friends from New Hope and play a round of Miniature Golf.

We spend our last day in Hana at Blue Pond and another secret watering hole. Some of our group challenge Ching's Pond again and then we meet up for dinner in Makawao.

We make our way to Heavenly Hana via Makawao and Keanae. After getting settled in we head on over to Waianapanapa and Hamoa Beach.

Some of the more ambitous of our party make the journey to Haleakala. The rest of us sleep in. We then head to Lahaina to watch Ulalena and view the sights of this former whaling village.

We journey to the Valley Isle and check out some sights. Of course we had to stop at Krispy Kreme and some other interesting places including Iao State Park, Wailea and Kihei.

We take a trip up to Kualoa, Waimea Bay and Haleiwa.

We head to Aloha Stadium to check out some exciting Pan Pacific Soccer action.

Dural the mechanic teaches us how to change the oil in our car as well as shows us how to properly use a 2-ton jack.

We celebrate Valentine's day at Bucca di Bepo.

We hike up to some World War II bunkers hidden in the hills behind Temple Valley Shopping Center.

Yay! It's Christmas time again!

We take a short cruise around Pearl Harbor looking at all the pretty lights on the battleships.

We celebrate Thanksgiving with a few of our friends.

We play Karaoke Revolution, Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero on 09-08-07.

We say good-bye to two of our dear friends. One will be going to San Diego and the other Seattle. They will surely be missed.

We go camping at Bellows AFS and learn about taking the next step in our lives. We are equipped by some of our good friends and leaders.

We head down to beautiful Waipio Valley and look for feral horses. Unfortunately we didn't see any. Oh well, maybe next time.

We head down south to take a hula class in Pahala and then spend the rest of the day at Volcanoes National Park.

We head up through Waimea and circle around to Akaka Falls, Rainbow Falls and Hilo. Oh and Dural had a little accident on the way back to Kona.

We land in Kona and start our trip out with a snorkeling trip at Honaunau.

We spend a day kickin' the ol' ball around with some friends from other various ministries. A good time is had by all.

Instructed by the wonderfully talented Bow Freitas, we learn how to make a five-course homemade Thai meal. The cooking and the fellowship were wonderful.

We descend upon Maunawili Neighborhood Park to run around and avoid being hit with flying rubber balls.

Once again we celebrate the season at the Hokuloa Rec Center. It was a good time to see old friends and make new ones.

Our good friend Keiko hosts a Thanksgiving dinner for a whole bunch of us. It was a great night of good food and good fun.

We bid a fond farewell to our good friend Gabe as he begins a new chapter in his life as a missionary (and teach English) in Japan.

We spend an evening at the Ward Shopping Complex doing some crazy stuff and capturing our exploits on a Polaroid camera. In the battle-of-the-sexes the girls won (on a technicality).

Vinnie and I take a trip to the great state of Alaska. We even went salmon hunting, but alas, we had no luck.

Well, we finally did it! After trying 3 previous times we have finally made it and hiked the Hau'ula Loop Trail. Charlie (my dog) had a great time too.

We hike up to the Makapuu lighthouse and the bunkers. The weather cooperated (because we prayed for sun) and a good time was had by all!

We take a tour (led by BWS tour guide Gabe) of the Waihee Water Tunnel to see where the water on the windward side comes from. We also hike up to the Waihee waterfall.

We spend the evening eating great food from Side Street Inn and learning how to dance Salsa from Malia and Ron. True to form it was "romance with just a hint of salsa!"

We start the year with our somewhat annual kickball tournament. As you may have guessed, the action was fast and furious.

We spend a night at Pinky's saying good bye to one of our favorite Marines before he goes to Iraq.

We enjoy another Christmas together in Kahaluu with some good food and some great people.

We spend a fun evening belting out our favorite karaoke songs in the company of some good friends.

We spend an evening getting ready for Halloween by holding a pumpkin carving clinic. Personally I think my pumpkin (the one that looks like anime Strong Bad) won.

We spend an afternoon trying to knock down some pins at Pali Lanes in Kailua.

We celebrate Keao's 27th birthday by cruisin' the ice at Ice Palace.

I get to spend the weekend going to a USC Trojans football game at the LA Memorial Coliseum and a San Diego Padres baseball game at Petco Park.

We spend a beautiful Labor Day swimming, snorkeling and jumping off a rock at Shark's Cove at Pupukea.

We finish our summer with the bugs and humidity at Maunawili Neighborhood Park by playing some basketball and Sham Battle.

We spend a few days on the Big Island of Hawaii and visit the City of Refuge, Volcanoes National Park, Kahaluu Beach Park as well as Keao's family in Honokaa.

We watch the fireworks from Kailua Beach.

We surprise Nikki by spending an evening with her playing Taboo and Trumps.

We start our summer by spending some time at the Lanikai boat ramp hanging out, worshipping the Lord and praying for Vinnie.

On this Memorial Day Sunday, we sure pumped up the jam good at the Christmas Lane Rec Center. We had a great time throwin' it waaaayyyy back and reliving those wonderful years of Jr. High.

I spend some time at the Happiest Place on Earth and Sin City with some close friends.

We descend upon Maunawili Neighborhood Park again to celebrate our mothers. Even though none of them showed up, we still had lots of fun playing Sham Battle, Basketball and Kickball.

We converge on Maunawili Neighborhood Park to enjoy one another's company as well as beat each other in Dodge Ball, Basketball, Tennis, Kickball, Sham Battle and a little Football.

We spend a lovely evening at the Davis Compound to celebrate Spring Break and to surprise Vinnie with a going away party.

We have another Italian themed cooking class/dinner at the KEY Project in Kahaluu. Once again Chef Peter provided outstanding instruction and food.

Russell and I spend a week in beautiful Orlando, Florida attending the Single Adults Ministry and Future Gen Conferences. Along the way we met some really nice people from Columbus, Ohio and of course visited Gatorland and EPCOT (had to do the Disney thing).

We celebrate the our February babies with a joint birthday party for Krystie and Keiko at Scott's house (he was in Florida in body, but with us in spirit). The night was filled with good food and even better company.

We have a dinner celebrating Valentine's Day at Buca di Beppo's and have some fun at Dave and Busters afterward.

We continue our cooking class/dinner series with Mexican night taught by Dina Martinez of La Bambas in Kapahulu. The salsa (and the company) was fantastic!

Ahhh, the joys of Christmas.

We spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon hiking up to the Lanikai Bunkers.

We celebrate with Reuben as he gets baptized in beautiful Kaneohe Bay.

We learned how to cook a great Italian meal and then ate it with a whole bunch of friends.

During halftime of the University of Hawaii v. San Jose State game mascots battle each other in Aloha Stadium. I had to take pictures because that pickle sure does look familiar...I'm not sure of the outcome but I have a suspicion that no one won.

We take a short hike around Makapuu point and head down towards the tide pools.

We help celebrate Keao's birthday with her a few days early at Nicole's house by doing a little dance, eating meatballish hamburgers, watching the Blue Angels and playing a rousing game of kickball.

We help Beck, Jenn and Mary celebrate their birthdays at Bucca di Beppo.

We bid a fond farewell to Briana as she goes back to OSU to finish up her degree. On another note, it is the first time that I have ever set foot on Coconut Island (the shark pond was especially cool).

I get to celebrate yet another birthday get together. Thanks to all my super friends for taking me out again! Oh and a special thanks for those Dance Dance Revolution entertainers.

We finish off our summer Extreme Makeover series with a mini-concert by Alena, Erwyn and Fern and also get to worship and hear the teachings of Pastor Jeph.
